Sarasota area real estate specialist Bruce Myer, with Coldwell Banker, has been in the business at a time of profound change and growth. For nearly forty years, he has negotiated many successful transactions for his very satisfied customers that have resulted in over One Billion in sales! This milestone is not easily attained and although Bruce humbly says the area sells itself, its his decades of experience and understanding of the complexities of the luxury market that make him so special and in a league of his own. Growing up in central Indiana at his grandparents’ farm of several thousand acres, Bruce learned early the value of real estate. As a child, he vacationed with his family on Longboat Key. In fact, his grandparents loved it so much that they were one of the first owners at the Islander Club, purchasing there in 1970. His mother now lives there after being at Seaplace. Upon graduating from DePauw University with a degree in European History, Bruce was lured back to the area and has happily lived here since.
It was his job at Arvida’s Islandside Tennis Center doing court maintenance that introduced him to executive Chip Anderson, who encouraged him to pursue a real estate career. In just three years, at age 26, Bruce set the record for the most residential sales in Sarasota, clearly proving his passion and talent for the profession. He has continued to perform at the top of the real estate market because he truly loves what he does. Challenging, sometimes stressful, but always rewarding, Bruce’s success is so much more than the numbers.
His clients are loyal to him and much of his business are referrals and repeat customers. Bruce doesn’t engage in transactions, but rather, relationships, and it’s the satisfaction of his clients that matters most to him. That has translated into many sales and many happy homeowners.
Although Bruce is proud of his ability to build relationships with his clients through personal connections, he has fully embraced technology and the advantages it offers. He understands that many people today prefer to communicate and receive information electronically. He is well versed in all of those means of doing so, as well as the many websites that offer real estate information. Just like Longboat Key, Bruce has changed with the times. Bruce is proud to be a part of the fabric of the Sarasota area, not only because he lives on Bird Key and has an office in the Chart House on Longboat, but also because of his family, in particular, his three sons, who have grown up here and with whom he has shared and embraced all this incredibly beautiful area offers. Parker, Blake and Chase are enjoying their own successes scattered across the country, but they still look forward to their time together right here in Sarasota. Bruce is a regular at the Longboat Key Club, where he takes every opportunity he can to play his two favorite sports: golf and tennis! Work-life balance contributes to Bruce’s ability to deliver exceptional service and results. Bruce Myer and his team are uniquely positioned to provide exactly what clients need: knowledge and expertise, technology and resources; superior service and commitment to excellence at every stage of the home buying or selling process. These are the hallmarks of nearly four decades of exceptional success. These are the hallmarks of which Bruce Myer has every reason to be proud.
